Katie joined the Westbay team in July of 2023 as a case manager for the Medical Respite program, having had 3+ years of experience working with unhoused and low-income families in Newport and South County. In October of 2023, Katie was promoted to Director of Medical Respite and managed both the Medical Respite and Street Medicine programs through their closure in December of 2025. Shortly after, Westbay was awarded a state grant to implement a transitional housing program that opened in February of 2026. Katie’s title was changed to Director of Transitional Services, and she now oversees a 24-bed facility in West Warwick that provides transitional housing and case management services to individuals in RI experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders.

Katie graduated summa cum laude from URI with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2019. She was invited to join the MPA program and received her master’s degree in public administration and a Human Resources certificate in 2022. During her time at URI, Katie was selected to receive the David Warren Scholars with High Distinction Award and the Stephen Wood Political Theory Award for sustained excellence in the study of political science and political theory.

Katie has a passion for helping others. She also enjoys spending time with her two children and her two cats. Katie currently resides in Westerly, RI.
