The Intake Unit is the entry point to Westbay programs and services. Intake helps clients with basic needs, short-term assistance, and access to follow-on services. Services may include:
- Rental Assistance (if funds are available)
- Shelter referrals
- Short-term case management
- Financial literacy

Eligibility
Westbay’s services are available to low-income residents of Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, and Coventry. The Intake Unit determines eligibility for other programs.
Programs and Services
Westbay Marketplace
Intake determines initial eligibility for the Marketplace food programs.
Can o’ Peas
The Can o’ Peas program delivers nutritious foods to homebound Kent County seniors and disabled adults.
Assurance – 16
The Assurance-16 Program helps LIHEAP recipients with financial wellness and workforce development resources.
Eligible households can participate in workshops or one-on-one workforce education and financial literacy.
Participation is incentive-based. The A-16 program runs year-round.
SNAP
Intake staff members assist with SNAP applications.
Rhode Island Donation Exchange (formerly Furniture Bank RI)
Intake provides referrals to the furniture bank if needed.
Holiday Programs
Westbay Holiday Programs provide food baskets and holiday gifts.
Project Undercover
Project Undercover provides diapers, socks, underwear, and baby wipes.
